FORKS & CROWNS
WE BUILT OUR FIRST DRAG RACING FORKS IN 1966 USING YAMAHA 60 FORK LEGS. OVER THE NEXT 20-PLUS YEARS, WE BUILT FORKS FROM SCRATCH, MODIFIED OEM FORKS, AND CONVERTED CERIANI ROAD RACING FORKS FOR DRAG RACING. IN 1989 WE BOUGHT NEARLY 1000 SETS OF RED WING FORKS AND USED THEM TO MAKE OUR NOW FAMOUS DRAGFORX. TEN YEARS LATER, WHILE IN THE DESIGN STAGES OF DRAGFORX-2,' WE FINALLY RAN OUT. PRESENTLY WE FEEL THAT TRAC CS FORKS, WHICH ARE USED BY MOST PRO-STOCK RACERS, ARE THE BEST FORK AVAILABLE TODAY. MADE TO OUR SPECS AND USING KOSMAN CROWNS AND BI-METAL AXLE, THESE FORKS NOW ARE OFFERED BY US IN VARIOUS CONFIGURATIONS.

TRIPLE CLAMPS:

  • FE-TC34 Standard Non Inverted Available for 34mm, 35mm $327.75 36mm fork tubes, in 155mm and 180mm widths
  • FE-TCTR Inverted (USD) - To fit Trac Dynamic forks (Crowns fit 1-3/4" diameter tubes and are 6-7/8" wide [175mm]) $327.75
  • FE-HBC Standard Handlebar Clamps $38.88

  • FE-HBFP ProStock Forward Plate $52.75

Kosman Adjustable Trail Triple Clamps are now available. This is a new, unique adjustment system (patent pending) that allows for adjustment in trail in minutes. Crowns are wider than stock for increased tire clearance. This is a complete system including adjustment block set, and is in stock for immediate delivery.

  • Designed for Honda 450, but works on 250 and 125 MX motorcycles built in the last 3 years.
  • Clamps have the stock offset and are 200mm wide (192mm is stock). They can be used with the stock axle with a 4mm spacer for the wheel.
  • Does not change the rake angle. It adjusts the angle of the forks.
  • Shortens the wheelbase. Each adjustment shim moves the wheel back about 1/8". There are 15 adjustment positions, for a total range of adjustment of about 2" in wheel position.
  • More shims puts more weight on the front-end and makes the bike turn quicker. Less shims gives more traction.
  • Specify 7/8", or 1-1/8" handlebars.
  • Product has been dirt track tested and the unanimous feedback is that the ability to make an adjustment to the trail makes a noticeable difference in steering characteristics. There seems to be a position that works best for a particular tracks and setups.
  • No modifications to the motorcycle is required. Stock front fender will bolt to the clamps and stock number plate fits.
  • Takes about 5-minutes to make an adjustment.
  • Approximately the same weight as stock parts.
